Local Drug Action Team standard

Great to be given the opportunity to do something about drug use in Mansfield; and in particular the use of Ice. In a joint submission with Mansfield Shire, we are one of 40 communities funded Australia-wide. It’s really important to be able to address this at a local level as too often we are overlooked by the agencies who are funded to tackle this regionally but don’t make it out of the larger cities. All health services are required to have a current clinical services plan. Thanks to the people of Jamieson, Bonnie Doon and Merrijig who took up the invitation to participate in our community forums and put their views forward. Rest assured we are listening. Further consultations are happening this week.
