Help Prevent the Spread standard

Just a reminder to our local community. Physical Distancing is your Super Power! It makes the difference between becoming a close contact if someone you know is diagnosed with COVID-19. If you get any cold-like symptoms, please ISOLATE until you have a negative swab result and your symptoms have resolved. If you think you may have been in contact with someone with confirmed COVID-19, the best and safest thing to do is ISOLATE. The criteria for close contact is 15 minutes face to face (within 1.5 metres) or 2 hours in a shared, enclosed space.The virus may take up to 14 days to show symptoms, and an early negative swab test will not prevent that.Keeping 1.5 metres away from others is our new normal, ...

Updated Visitor Restrictions standard

Updated visitor arrangements for MDH, including Buckland House and Bindaree.In response to new restrictions pertaining to Victorian hospitals and aged care facilities, we have amended visiting criteria for Mansfield District Hospital. These are in accordance with directives of the Deputy Public Health CommanderAll visitors and staff entering any MDH building must have their temperature taken before entering. If a visitor or staff member’s temperature is higher than 37.5 degrees or they are showing symptoms of acute respiratory infection they will not be permitted to enter MDH or its residential aged care facilities.All persons entering will also be asked screening questions related to recent travel and if they have been in contact with a person who has been diagnosed with ...

COVID-19 Visiting Restrictions to the hospital standard

Dear Mansfield Community, Whilst it is pleasing that there are no active cases of COVID-19 in Mansfield that we are aware of, in response to the escalation of cases across Victoria, and in particular the increased number in hospitals and aged care facilities we have implemented a number of changes. VISITING HOSPITAL: 1 Patients in the hospital are limited to 2 visitors a day who may visit for a maximum of 30 minutes. Patients in shared rooms are limited to 1 visitor at any one time. 2 Visiting hours are from 12 midday to 6:30pm. 3 All visitors will be screened and temperature checked upon entry.
