Following an announcement this morning by the Prime Minister on behalf of the National Cabinet we have been directed to implement some immediate changes to both Bindaree and Buckland House.
▪️ People who have returned from overseas in the last 14 days will not be permitted to enter an aged care facility
▪️ People who have been in contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the last 14 days will not be permitted to enter an aged care facility
▪️ People with fever or symptoms or acute respiratory infection or symptoms will not be permitted to enter an aged care facility
▪️ Aged care residents will be limited to visits by a maximum of two people per day (except for palliative care)
▪️ Visits are to be restricted to a short duration
▪️ Visits are to take place in a resident’s room or outdoors. They are not permitted in communal areas
▪️ Children under the age of 16 will only be permitted to attend aged care facilities in exceptional circumstances
▪️ Group visits or gathering are cancelled until further notice. This includes social activities or entertainment.
