Due to uncertainty with supplies and in order to allow us to prepare for the vaccination of 5-11 year olds in January, our vaccination will close over the Christmas period. The Clinic will be closed from 24th December -10th January 2022. When this decision was made the interval for the 3rd dose was 6 months which meant most people in Mansfield were unable to receive this booster until January. However this has now changed. Currently there is a 5 month interval required between your second dose and your booster.   There is currently a 3 hour wait to get tested. We are closing the gates at 2:00pm rather than the scheduled 3:00pm.   This is to enable us to get the swabs to the laboratory and get results back as quickly as possible.   Any swabs taken after the courier leaves will not be sent until the following day.   We apologise if you planned to get tested after 2:00pm. Because the Mansfield community has been so good at coming forward to get vaccinated we are scaling back our service until further notice. This commences next week. Our hours of operation for the Vaccination Clinic will be: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00am until 4:00pm. We have appointments available but we will predominantly be offering walk-ins. We will only be vaccinating with Pfizer vaccine. However please note that next Tuesday, that is, Tuesday 23rd November the clinic will be closed because we are hitting the road in Maxine the Vaccine Bus. From 6pm Friday 29th October changes will apply to visiting Buckland House and Bindaree. Of course there are still some rules to follow. Each resident is allowed up to five visitors per day Visitors are not required to be vaccinated, though we strongly encourage them to be so to protect not only themselves and the resident they are visiting but also other residents and staff in the facility. Where visitors are not fully vaccinated, that is, have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine, visits are to take place either outdoors or in the resident's room.
