PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT INFORMATION In response to the threat posed by COVID-19 in our health service we have implemented visiting restrictions.These are in place to protect our community's most vulnerable people and to assist us to continue to have the resources to provide health care over the coming months. In some instances these are more stringent than those recommended. Our rationale is to protect our community's most vulnerable people and to assist us to continue to have the resources to provide health care over the coming months. In summary:There is a restriction on all visitors into Buckland House Nursing Home effective from 5:00pm today (March 24th). That is, visits are not permitted, unless in special circumstances approved by us. When visiting Mansfield District Hospital, you should wash your hands with soap or water or use an alcohol-based hand rub located in various places throughout our facility upon arrival prior to entering the person’s room. You should also follow the same procedure when you are leaving. We also ask that you only visit one person at any one time. If you have any respiratory symptoms we ask that you refrain from visiting anyone in hospital, Bindaree or Buckland House. Our aged care residents are particularly vulnerable and it is important that we reduce the risk as much as possible whilst still encouraging interaction with family and friends.
