Bindaree Retirement Centre is a residential aged care hostel comprising 40 permanent beds and 2 respite beds. It is situated at 86 Highett Street, 280 metres from the Mansfield District Hospital.

The Hostel has 42 single bed rooms, all comprising separate ensuite facilities. The Hostel also has a communal spa room, two dining rooms, three sitting rooms, a quiet sitting room and glorious gardens and courtyards.

Resident care needs vary and range from low to high, including special needs for residents with dementia. The Hostel caters for Ageing in Place and people requiring a low level Aged Care Assessment to be admitted to Bindaree for permanent care.

Bindaree also has a dementia specific unit, catering for the special needs of people with dementia. This state-of-the-art facility boasts spacious bedrooms, communal areas and a secure, enclosed sensory garden.

The Hostel has two respite beds available for bookings. Respite is usually allocated in one or two week blocks, however, longer respite periods can be negotiated if places are available.

Bindaree is staffed 24 hours a day by a dedicated team of division one registered nurses and qualified personal care workers. A support team of activity staff provide a range of resident activities that complement the direct care needs of residents.
